Legalizing Marijuana similar to Civil Acts Movement? pshh.. NO!

So I got this random add from this dude who is trying to stage a protest for legalizing Marijuana. Why add me though? nothing on my page hints the fact that I would be remotely interested in Marijuana. In fact, there is NOTHIN on my page but random shizznatz about me. lol And found this exert on his blog.



My goal to gather one Million protesters in D.C. July 4th of 2009 for the worlds largest sit-in and protest of marijuana being illegal!!! Being as it is the worlds largest sit-in,... We want a million activists to gather and STAY in D.C. until the United States government legalizes marijuana. This massive act of civil disobedience will cause the United States government to react in one of three ways: They will ignore us (which is highly doubtful) or; They will remove us (probably by force which will most likely end in rioting and martyr our cause further like the civil rights riots of African Americans in the past) or; Legalize it. These are the only options we give our government if we can accomplish one million people in D.C. next year. So help spread the news, help spread the word, and those that believe in personal freedom and the right for everyone to choose for themselves, I ask for a dedication to be there and protest with us in non-violence. Thank you!

When I read this I was shocked how you could even compare legalizing marijuana to the Civil rights that African Americans protested against. The two do NOT even come CLOSE in camparison.



African Americans were fighting a MUCH BIGGER issue than smoking and getting high! They were fighting for equality. They were fighting to abolish racial discrimination. They were fighting against racial segregation. They were fighting against Increased economic oppression of blacks, Latinos, and Asians, denial of economic opportunities, and widespread employment discrimination. They were fighting for their lives, lives of their children, lives of their families, and lives of the future different families that come from different countries into the U.S looking for freedom and equality.

They all hoped for the same dream Martin Luther King Jr. Said in his "I have a Dream Speech."



I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal."

I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slave owners will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood.

I have a dream that one day even the state of Mississippi, a state sweltering with the heat of injustice, sweltering with the heat of oppression, will be transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice.

I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.

I have a dream today.

I have a dream that one day, down in Alabama, with its vicious racists, with its governor having his lips dripping with the words of interposition and nullification; one day right there in Alabama, little black boys and black girls will be able to join hands with little white boys and white girls as sisters and brothers.

I have a dream that one day every valley shall be exalted, every hill and mountain shall be made low, the rough places will be made plain, and the crooked places will be made straight, and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together.

This is our hope. This is the faith that I go back to the South with. With this faith we will be able to hew out of the mountain of despair a stone of hope. With this faith we will be able to transform the jangling discords of our nation into a beautiful symphony of brotherhood. With this faith we will be able to work together, to pray together, to struggle together, to go to jail together, to stand up for freedom together, knowing that we will be free one day.

This will be the day when all of God's children will be able to sing with a new meaning, "My country, 'tis of thee, sweet land of liberty, of thee I sing. Land where my fathers died, land of the pilgrim's pride, from every mountainside, let freedom ring."

Don't compare something so brainless and ludicrous like legalizing marijuana so you can smoke your arse off, lose brain cells, and act like a dumb shiat, to a movement that changed MILLIONS AND MILLIONS of lives; my life. and yours.

Tema's Wedding Pictures

Boyz II Men Concert

I am so glad that Ana and I decided to come stay here in Orem for her stay otherwise we would not have been able to go to the Boyz II Men concert! Let me just tell you that this concert was the best way to end my summer. It was the best concert I have EVER been too! They still sound they same then when the first came out. As good as EVER! Listening to them made you wish you had your boo thing with you right beside you! ahaha syke {but really ahaha} I was gettin jealous seeing all the couples together! ahaha But really though, Boyz II Men were OFF THE HOOK!

They started off with one of my favorite songs that got the crowd pumpin! Motown Philly, and ended with it too! The crowd's energy was amazing and Boyz II Men did an encore. You know the girls went CRAZY when they began singing "I'll Make Love to You", "On Bended Knees", and "End of the Road". I wish I was close so I could get a rose from my favorite member Shawn Stockman! OoOh baby! We were ALL the way in the back, but at least we got to see them MOVE! Even though Michael McCary is no longer in the group and is surely missed, Boyz II Men did an AMAZING job!

I can't even explain how great the concert was. Boyz II Men is just AMAZING! They will always be AMAZING at WHATEVER they sing! And pretty sure Boyz II Men will always be the best thing that has ever been!

The weekend of Tema and D. Hola

I can't believe Tema's wedding has already come and gone. It's crazy to think that Tema is now married.





As Tema and Ti walked out of the temple I couldn't stop myself from crying. She looked beautiful in her dress with her eternal partner on her side. Tema is the first person to be married that has been way close to me. She was like my older sister and I did everything with her. I'm going to miss all those girl nights together, but it's all for the better!

It was so good to see all the family gather together for this special occasion. The dance was a blast! I found my future dance partner. Maryanne! Aunty Olga by far was the best dance out of everyone!







Before the dance we attended Tjay's football game. We ran to GenX before and had tshirts made to support our brobro. Unfortunately when we got there we saw Tjay with a sling around his arm, and came to find out that he had dislocated his elbow and was out the whole game. We still stayed to support the Bruin Football game. After that is when we headed to the dance.



Saturday was the day of the reception. We had to go early to set up the hall and we did not even finish in time to start by 2 so we started at 4. My partner was D. Hola. Wowzers! is all I got to say! A nice guy, but boy was surely hungry. I have NEVER seen anyone tear into a pig like he did! Boy straight up ripped the leg off pig like a barbarian! bahaha. Both sides of the line were gorgeous people, and we all had a fun time with our partner.

I missed all of the amazing events that had happened throughout the reception because I had to practice for a ta'olunga that I forgot when I went out there and performed. But the reception turned out beautiful for Tema's special day.

I am so happy for Tema and D, and I am so glad she found someone to spend the rest of her life with.

School is about to BEGIN!!!

I can't believe summer has come and went within the blink of an eye! ITS CAHRAYZEE!! At least I did something that was meaningful in the summer, and took some college classes at SLCC. That was my life! I go to school for 12 hours a day, come back home and sleep! It was good though because I got to working out everytime I went to school and IT FELT GOOD =D I swear I lost like 10 pounds, but ever since summer school got out I wasn't able to make it to the gym so pretty sure I GAINED IT ALL BACK! Once school starts Im making it a habit to hit the gym EVERYDAY!

I finally got a job today. I am now a future employee at KMART!!! WOOT WOOT! =D I was afraid I would've had to resort to McDonalds (yea nothing against those that worked there.. i would just get FAT!) But now I can work!

Anyways this school will be very much hectic for me! Thankgoodness I only have one hard class a day. Algebra 1010 and chemistry 1010! The rest of my classes are working in the counseling center, being a preschool teacher, and becoming an intern at an elementary school! I am WAY excited for school to start!

My goals for this school year are to make the BEST out of EVERYTHING! I want to the attend ALL the school events/dances, and make my senior ENJOYABLE! I am hoping that I will get to be student of the month, and gain many scholarships!
