first concert!!!!

It was a friday evening. I was just about ready to head over to the gym when the phone began to ring. "Hello," I answered. "Hey, what are you doing?" asked Lavi. "Nothing, why?!?" I replied back.
"Do you know who Journey is?!?"
"Yes! I freaking love Journey! Why?"
"Do you want to go to their concert?"
"Yes! I knew they were coming down but I didn't know when."
"Well, I have tickets do you want to come!"
"SHUT UP!" I yelled. I was so excited. I go through different stages of music, and right now I'm into 80's rock. Journey was one of the first bands I began to listen too. I couldn't believe that they were going to be the first concert that I would go too! "You have to dress 80's though." Lavi said.

I ran frantically around the house searching for clothes that I could make look 80's. I cut up my jean skirt, Lavi brought my black tights that I wore underneath my now jean miniskirt. And we walked out of the house in matching off the shoulder "I heart New York" white T-shirts.

We drove to Hotel Monnaco where we would load the bus to the Usana Ampitheater where the concert was being held with Lavi's work. (work party!) On the bus Lavi won a Journey CD (which I have), and I won a overnight stay at the Monnaco Hotel (which Lavi has.. she's gonna give it to her parent's for their anniversy.. HOPEFULLY! lol) It's funny cause they were giving out beer on the bus and I could have easily taken one! Everyone else was over 21 so it wouldn't have mattered! Thank goodness beer is nasty! lol

We got to the concert, and had a wonderful dinner prepared for us! The ham or roast beef or whatever it was, was SOO good! They had Bacardi drinks and Majito drinks for free just lying around. Thank goodness I quite drinkin otherwise I would have been ALL over those things!!! (hahahahahahaa JK!! but they really were giving out alcohol and not even i.d.-ing ppl) So i grabbed water instead.

Cheaptrick opened up, and I had no idea that they saying "I want you to want me" from 10 things I hate about you. (they aren't the band that performed it on the movie though) and Then Heart Came on. They sang their hit song Barcuda and Crazy on You. And then Journey!! I had no idea that Steve Perry was no longer the lead singer. Now it's some Philipino dude. But he sings just like Steve Perry. When my song, "Don't Stop Believin'" came on I about cried! I love that song!

It was a great night! Lavi and I took a whole bunch of pictures, had great food, and shared a great sisterly night! I'm glad that Journey was my first concert and that I got to spend it with my sister Lavi!!!! =D
